Jung is indeed very compelling to me with his hands-on techniques to cultivate a relationship with the objective psyche. It’s shamanistic, I love it! It’s alive, potent, and productive, in my weepingly grateful experience.

Merleau-Ponty is one of two philosophers I am using in my thesis as foundational for the ideas I am working with. I am excited to present my thesis proposal coming up next…

I remember being in art school with a head full of merleau-ponty… i believe that’s where my affection for the examination of culture and values was first put into words. However I can’t say that it had a positive impact on my artwork. To this day I remain a fan of Jung. Somehow there is something so much more compassionate in the thinking of a person who includes themselves as a part of the process.

I am not sure I have ever truly experienced the objective psyche as a light, or delightful thing. Perhaps it’s my own shortcoming – to have undertaken the hillsides, the mob at the mall, as the enemy and subconsciously struggled against the grain all my life – but there’s just something about the collective unconscious and Jung’s writing about it which is so inclusive, and also so detached from our conscious experience which leaves me full of love, and somehow more able to forge a connection, and exercise a willingness to break from my battles and lay down my weapons, and join the world.

That said, it is common ground between the two thinkers, and you have given me a wonderful morning remembering art school, and considering all of our connections. Thank you.

The love came through the letter I wrote to him. Honest and calm, I admitted my “mistakes” and I apologized for the acts that were perceived as such, AND I STOOD UP for myself. I thanked him, and said Adios.

glad I came across u while refreshing myself with the handless maiden story. When I originally came across this story, well infact the whole book, it made such an impression on me. I am an artist, I work with molten aluminium to create 3d sketch scultpures, my next exhibition in Aug 09 in Wales will be titled The handless maiden & will reflect on my determination to be the artist I know I am, living sustainably creative & focused no mater wot shit u have to wade through. Any hoo, I wish u all the luck in the world with your writting.

The universe will push us out of the nest when we need to fly. I have been shown this many times.

I am really trusting these days. I believe with all my heart that everything is OK, and there is security and prosperity in all aspects. I am learning how to tap in. I watch my thoughts, and when they cut me off from the source, and they can, I take a deep breath, try not to be too hard on myself, and return to higher thinking.

She seems to know that god/goddess is the true healer,

I miss my mom and still want her too!

I had a dream a couple days ago where it was not at all dramatic, and she was there with me as I was running an errand. I was getting a last paycheck from a lady and she noticed my mom behind me, and commented that we looked just alike. It was light and wonderful. Bring on more dreams like THAT! It was truly a gift.

This is very similar to things I feel about my own mom.

She is here with me always in spirit, yet I miss her terribly. Especially now.

I still feel like the 15 year old that was left behind.

She had to go, she loved me and still does, but I still want her.

I have dreams about her periodically, and I love it. It is an amazing gift.
